Storm Tree Damage
Response in White Pigeon, MI

Storm events including high winds, lightning strikes, ice loading, and severe thunderstorms can cause sudden, dramatic tree damage that creates immediate safety hazards on your property. Downed trees block access, damage structures, and can fall again if not properly stabilized. Hanging limbs pose lethal risk to anyone below. Root-heaved trees can complete their fall hours or days after initial wind damage as soil dries and loses grip.

Christian Tree Service has operated a 24/7 emergency storm response program for 28 years in White Pigeon, MI. When storms hit, our dispatchers are standing by to take your call, assess your situation, and mobilize the appropriate crew and equipment to address your specific hazard as quickly as possible.

Beyond immediate emergency response, we provide comprehensive storm damage cleanup including full debris removal, stump grinding, site clearing, and written damage assessment reports that your insurance adjuster requires to process your claim. We have helped hundreds of White Pigeon, MI families navigate the insurance claims process successfully.

Wind Throw and Uprooting

Complete uprooting or severe leaning caused by high winds and saturated soil. We assess root integrity and determine whether righting or removal is the appropriate response for each individual tree.

Hanging and Partially Broken Limbs

Large limbs that have partially broken but remain suspended in the canopy are extremely dangerous. We call these widow-makers and treat their removal as an immediate priority hazard.

Lightning Strike Damage

Lightning can cause explosive internal bark damage, crown damage, or immediate structural failure. We assess lightning-struck trees for structural integrity and develop an appropriate treatment or removal plan.

Ice Storm Damage

Ice loading causes catastrophic multiple-limb failures in many tree species. We systematically assess ice-damaged trees, remove failed limbs, and evaluate the remaining structure for long-term stability.

Splits and Included Bark

High winds can force previously weak co-dominant stems apart, creating dangerous hanging splits. We assess split integrity and either cable and brace or remove the compromised section based on the specific situation.

Root Zone and Soil Damage

Storm events can damage root systems through soil heave, erosion, and root severance during uprooting. We assess root zone integrity and provide treatment recommendations to support recovery where viable.

Photo Documentation

High-resolution before and after photography of all damage areas formatted for insurance adjuster submission.

Written Damage Report

Formal written arborist assessment describing the nature, extent, and cause of all storm-related tree damage on your property.

Itemized Invoice

Detailed, itemized invoices separating emergency response, damage removal, stump grinding, and cleanup for clear insurance allocation.

Adjuster Communication

We communicate directly with your insurance adjuster or their assigned tree contractor to answer technical questions and support your claim.

A tornado-strength wind gust took out three large trees overnight. One landed on our fence, one on the garage, and one completely blocked our driveway. By the time I called Christian Tree Service at 6 AM, they had a crew at our house by 9 AM. Everything was cleared by 2 PM. Their storm damage documentation also made our insurance claim straightforward.

After a severe ice storm, we had half a dozen large limbs hanging dangerously over our back patio. Christian Tree Service came out within hours, assessed every hanging limb, removed the immediate hazards the same day, and came back the following week to complete the full cleanup. Fast, professional, and thorough throughout.
